Zimbabwe’s Warm Hospitality Shines as Harare Hosts African Reinsurance Forum
The Chairperson of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 29th African Reinsurance Forum, Mr David Nyabadza, has expressed gratitude to delegates and partners for making the recently held event in Harare, a resounding success.

In his welcome remarks, Mr Nyabadza said Zimbabwe was honoured to host Africa’s leading reinsurers, regulators, and policymakers, describing the occasion as a celebration of collaboration, learning, and African unity.
“On behalf of the LOC and the Zimbabwe insurance fraternity, I would like to warmly thank you all for joining us in the Sunshine City, Harare, and in our beautiful country, Zimbabwe — home to the mighty Victoria Falls, the Great Zimbabwe Monument, and our friendly people,” he said.
He acknowledged the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) for entrusting Zimbabwe with the responsibility to host the continental event, and commended the Government of Zimbabwe and Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) Commissioner, Dr Grace Muradzikwa, for their support and leadership.
Mr Nyabadza also extended appreciation to industry associations under the Zimbabwe Insurance and Pensions Apex Council (ZIPAC) and corporate sponsors for their dedication in delivering a world-class forum.
Recalling the event’s timing during the Jacaranda season, he said the setting perfectly mirrored the forum’s spirit of renewal and optimism.
“The retreat is taking place at a time that symbolises great promise as our Jacarandas are in full bloom and as we await the rains and with them a new season of renewed hope and optimism,” he said. “In that same spirit, I trust that your engagements here will be the beginning of new opportunities, relationships, and indeed prosperity for your businesses and families.”
